SKTN low molecular weight silicone rubber

SKTN low molecular weight silicone rubber

SKTN silicone rubber is a low molecular weight dimethylsiloxane liquid stabilized with active silicon oxide and cured by cold cure catalysts. Rubber appearance: viscous, colorless, turbid liquid free of mechanical impurities. SKTN rubber is intended for manufacture of monolithic molding and encapsulating compounds, sealants, foam sealants, impregnating compositions, and coatings produced by cold curing. It is also used for manufacture of gas selective membranes, various rubber compositions with high hydrophobicity, resistance to tropical climates. It is used for thermal, moisture, electrical and vibration insulation sealing of various devices; production of potting compounds and gaskets for mechanisms and devices; sealing of simple and multilayer building elements, sealing of seams, sealing of facades, pipelines. Working temperature range from -60°С to +250°С. Materials produced on the basis of SKTN silicone rubbers are resistant to temperatures from -90°С to +300°С, have significant elasticity, resilience and strength, high hydrophobicity, chemical inertness, dielectric properties, vibration resistance, resistance to fungi and microorganisms, resistance to ozone, oxidizers and ultraviolet rays. SKTN silicone rubbers are physiologically inert, tissue compatible and hemocompatible, gas permeable (the highest permeability of all known polymers), have selective gas permeability, and easy to sterilize. Compared to other bioinert materials used for implantation, silicone rubbers largely mimic human soft tissues (density, softness, viscosity, elasticity). Unlike organic rubbers, SKTN silicone rubbers are more economical, reliable and durable even under extreme conditions. Retain elasticity in a wide range of temperatures over an extended period of time. Easy to recycle. Silicone rubbers cure at room temperature in the presence of cold cure catalysts. SKTN organosilicon rubbers are non-toxic. Do not contain solvents.
