VIKSINT U-2-28 organosilicon sealant

VIKSINT U-2-28 two-component sealant is a sealant produced on the basis of low molecular weight silicone rubbers. It is a paste-like sealing material of pink or white color capable to transition from a paste-like state to a rubber-like state after mixing with No. 28 catalyst and 136-41 hydrophobizing liquid at room temperature. The sealant is applied with a sublayer that ensures adhesion of the sealant to the surface of the materials being sealed. VIKSINT U-2-28 sealant is designed for sealing riveted, bolted and welded joints of structures and devices operating in the temperature range from -60 to +250 °C for joint sealing, from -60 to +300 °C for surface sealing, and for potting plug-in connectors operating at temperatures from -60 to +250 °C. The sealants are also used as a material for casting molds in the production of art and decorative items. Contact with the sealant does not cause corrosion of aluminum alloys, oxidized magnesium alloys, stainless and carbon steels, cadmium plated and galvanized passivated steel and titanium alloys. After mixing the components, the sealant irreversibly transitions into a rubber-like material which is able to maintain elasticity in the air in the temperature range from minus 60 to 300 °C. Due to its base, low molecular weight organosilicon rubber, VIKSINT U-2-28 has high heat and frost resistance, resistance to ozone, light, and other aging factors, it features significant hydrophobicity, dielectric properties, etc. VIKSINT U-2-28 two-component sealant with “NT” index is supplied to aviation industry enterprises.
