Automotive gasket maker
Automotive gasket maker (gasket formers for repair applications) is a neutral cure automotive silicone sealant, which is a pasty mass from white, beige to light gray and dark gray. Automotive gasket maker is designed for sealing of components and assemblies operating at elevated temperatures, for elimination of water, antifreeze, and oil leaks in detachable joints instead of cardboard, cork and rubber gaskets, as well as for sealing loose connections. Can be used for bonding glass, plexiglass, wood, concrete, fixing tiles to panels. Widely used in home, industry, and construction applications for sealing various seams, components of electronic devices and circuit boards, gaskets in engines and radiators. It can be used to repair plumbing fixtures, pipelines, chimneys, heating elements and for other purposes. Cures in air at room temperature and in contact with atmospheric moisture, transitioning from paste-like to rubber-like state. Easily takes any shape, after hardening retains strength and elasticity. Is not subject to cracking, shrinking and flowing during temperature cycles. Ensures tight waterproof insulation. Does not have toxic properties. Working temperature range: from -50°C to +300°C (depending on the grade).
